Ok as it says I broke my screen and I cannot figure out how to master reset it before I mail it back. It is still on because the light flashes at the top and my alarm goes off still everyday, but I already have my new phone and managed to get all my pictures off of it using my computer but im lost on how to master reset it. Im a super noob when I comes to programing or technical talk on the droid or the computer so if any of you have an answer for me that would be much appreciated. I have done some searching on here and I read about rooting or debugging and RSD lite and something else I cannot remember the 3 letters SMK or something maybe.but im still lost and not sure if that the way I need to go.

thanks

Eddy

I forgot to say that the screen is totally black and unresponsive so just going to the setting menu or resetting using the power and vol- buttons is not an option that I have been able to figure out.

sorry for leaving out that info

Do you know how to use fastboot? If so, just power off the device. Boot into fastboot by holding the vol down, tap the power while continuing to hold vol down, then release. Plug in the usb. Open a command window in your fastboot directory. Type: Fastboot erase userdata Done. sent from my G3

If you are on the xt926, you can connect the hdmi, and if necessary a mouse thru an otg.
