I'm downloading the razr utility 1.7...

BUT, I reconnected the battery and it still will not allow me to get into the boot menu (power off, hold power and volume down). When I try to get into the boot menu it flashed a green line near the bottom of the screen for a fraction of a second, then its back to the moto dual core screen. Does this mean it's shot? Or is there a way to force it back into the boot menu? I'm assuming I need that or the razr utilities wont work? Thanks

To get into fastboot, once you get the utility downloaded you can open a command prompt (within the utility folder) and type ... adb reboot-bootloader ... that may work also

If I select Recovery in the boot menu, it goes black, then back into the moto logo screen, and it never goes beyond that.

No, but if I cannot get into recovery, will it do me any good? Maybe I'm missing something here (probably)?

I understand that part, but I'm saying how can I boot from the sd card, if it never lets me get to the screen to select "boot from external" on the phone?
