Man, tells me how old this phone is (but it still runs like a champ, especially with CM11).

Relegated to the legacy devices section.  :(  ;)

I'll stick with this phone until it dies, because:

1. It's unlocked. No way do I go to a locked phone. Hell no!

2. I refuse to upgrade and lose my unlimited data plan. Hell to the no!  :evil

3. It still runs like a champ.

Thanks to Samuri and all the other people that helped through the years on this phone. Samuri helped me when I first got this phone and got it unlocked.

Today is a sad day to see this phone being put to pasture, so to say, but I'm riding off into the sunset with it. Hopefully, we'll see a Lollipop Cyanogenmod release as well, but so far, KK is running pretty good for me.

Tech shelf life is short indeed. The upcoming N6 will probably be considered a legacy device in the spring of 2016, if not sooner. But I agree. The xt926's legacy was that it was the first smartphone with a beast of a battery (at least the xt926M), to my knowledge. I love this phone, and I will keep it no matter what. It's also sad to see that up until a couple of months ago, this device could fetch up to $200 on Swappa, and now it's down to about $130.

It's a great phone.  I'm holding of for Project Ara (gen 2 maybe).

4. It has a SD card!!!

5. It has a HDMI port

6. It can do SVDO on 3G

7. It has great home and car docks (cheap now too)

8. It has an unlocked bootloader (if you caught the window(s))

9. It does everything I need it to

Price is still holding, actually trending back up. Cheapest on there now is $155, October average $174.  Though it's bound to drop further/faster now with the Turbo launch.  But that's good in case I want another one!

The move to legacy doesn't mean it's dead. It's just not considered a current phone. The house and rsd Flasher still support it and that won't change any time soon.

Even if this post is fairly older I would like to say this:

There have been recent phones that have gotten kitkat, we still have maintainers, we still get rom support. I hope it doesn't die off so quick. This phone IS popular, but just well older.

The Droid 2011 line of phones have kitkat. This phone still has years left in it, and I'll be using it until christmas, but lets hope that it'll stay alive for alive for a bit longer. Support from developers is key

That's why it's not deleted, only relegated to the legacy section.  :)

well I'm a legacy too then I guess.  I have the itch for something new, and the Turbo would be the very easy answer were it not locked, and I'm not sure I want a 6" Nexus 6.

I'll probably be getting a Turbo come February, but for the first time ever I might still keep my previous phone.

The JB Validus ROM runs so well on this. I'd put it against CM11 any day. ;)

don't see anything new that trips my trigger
