Is there a root method and unbrick method for jelly bean ota? I am not taking ota yet just in case I brick. At least I can get back to ICS stock.

Just fast boot back to stock, root, download the .41 leak (its the ota), download ota root keeper, update superuser to the latest version, back up root/temp unroot using ota rk, boot into recovery and flash the leak.

Reboot and go into ota rk to restore root.

There ya go :)

I know that. But what if I bricked on jb? There is not an unbrick method yet, or is there. I am the leak and as of right now I can unbrick. I am a crack flasher and crack modder. I am always trying to mod. My phone. I tried v6 supercharger. Didn't see a difference. Tried pimp my ROM. I did see a difference in performance and quadrant scores.
You get the idea. I must have a unbrick method. So, I am just keeping an eye out.

As long as you can get into ap fast boot you're good to go. Matt's utility will get you back to stock ICS even if you were on jb.

The only time I've seen straight up bricks are from people who mod with a low battery.

Thanks for the help. I would like to know if unbrick does work on ota. I have soft bricked 4-5 times already. That's why I am holding off from ota. Roflmao once I have unbrick method I get dangerous with my phone.I will try to mod the hell out of it.

For what its worth: I had root protected in Voodoo OTA w/e, and had root survival enabled in superuser, but forgot to temp unroot before taking the OTA. Well, I lost root. Then I used motofail2go, and I have root again, so...

Besides not having a root process for the JB build I wouldn't worry to much seeing as the full fastboot for the JB build is posted already. So at this points its almost impossible to fully brick seeing as there is a ICS and JB fastboot file

Its all good we have all been there lol. Just download Matt's utility, unzip to your desktop, use that utility to fast boot back to stock ICS. From there taken the small update, root using his utility, then download ota rootkeeper. From there, update your superuser and go into ota rk and backup/ temp unroot. Then download the ota from this forum (.41). Go into stock recovery and load the update. When it reboots go into ota rk and restore root.

You are now on rooted jellybean !!

Ooooh I see. So I'm just basically uninstalling JB. Going back to ICS. Not going back to stock like a factory reset correct? I just don't want to lose all my stuff again. Lol

When you fast boot you will lose your stuff. Just have everything backed up and you'll be OK :)

See, that's what I hate doing. Having to backup up it all, then redo all my settings, apps, etc.
