Always use safe strap to flash. And depending on the zip you can flash on top of whatever ROM you running

Yes you can't flash on stock side. So install a ROM in a slot and flash on that.

thanks.. Yes I notice on the stock side that flash wasn't an option.. I tried batakangrom 13 , but it slows the system response time.. nice rom,, just want the speed.

in Safestrap. Is it a flashable version of the stock Blur Jellybean rom. This way you can flash zips to a "stock" rom without having to go custom if you don't want to.

You could also use Clockwork Mod and install just a single ROM, but keep in mind this will overwrite your stock one, and there is no safe functionality to it. Specifically, if you mess it up you will be likely be fixing it with fastboot. I've done this on my phone because I found a ROM I like that is clean, fast, and all that stuff, and I just wanted to simply use it.

How are you judging speed? I'm pulling quads 5800 on Bata.... all day long, and solid 5500-5600 on Full Throttle.

I have all my animation turned off in both of them, I always do that. The ROMs are built for speed, battery life so should be faster.

ALSO - I can't explain it - but all ROMS take some time to settle. I see this myself when switching back and forth. A day or two later sometimes I'll notice a difference. So give your experiments some time. I usually look to assess WHAT right away (features / formats, etc.), and look to assess HOW GOOD/FAST after 2-3 days and loading up all my stuff and so on.

That is not possible on a current Moto device unless it is a Developers Edition. With Motos having a locked bootloader you CAN NOT flash just Clockwork Mod recovery on the device.
