I wanted to buy this phone for my mom from this ebay link. How do I know that this device is actually new (besides cosmetics) and how did this company get their hands on new devices? Has anyone bought one from them?

Be careful on that. I had heard there is a seller on ebay trying to sell device that were suppose to be unlocked or unlockabel and they cant be.
