I recently taped a talk on an app called 'smart voice recorder'....problem is when I try to transfer/copy file (wave file) to my computer, even tho it shows on the phone the computer doesn't see it....I've tried copying to numerous folders including the folder I keep the zipped rom files in; even zipped the file; again, it shows up on the phone in whatever folder I put it in but never on the computer..
btw...have a bionic with ics ...have looked on both internal and sd-card-ext. and doesn't make any difference....
any help would be much appreciated....
thanks

Hi, vinylman. Sorry to hear about your troubles.

When you say that the file shows on the phone, are you looking at the file via the Smart Voice Recorder app or using a file manager?

If you're using the app then you'll need to figure out where it stores it on the phone (most likely something like sdcard/android/data/com.xxxx.yyyy/, but it may have its own dedicated folder).

If you're using a file manager then you'll need to note the exact location so you can navigate to it from your computer, including the filename.

Also, what mode are you using to connect the BIONIC to your computer? What OS is your computer using?

If in windows, does windows explorer have file extensions turned off (default view)? If so, it usually takes windows several minutes to identify multimedia files, and thus it may just show up with a generic icon, which is why knowing the file name is critical.

Post back and let me know. We'll get it solved - even if I have to DL the app myself and make a test recording so I can fin it on my phone. :D

I think in Media Mode it either only shows files from certain areas, or else certain types of files.

Let me double check that tomorrow.

As for it not working in PC mod, how long have you waited for it to come up - I've had to wait as long as 5 minutes before b/c Windows scans the storage locations, and you antivirus may, too....

I've waiting 10 minutes or better while I was trying to 'see' it....never happened...it' weird cause I used to connect always with mass media and then here couple weeks back it suddenly wouldn't let me only with media mode...
one other thing that I don't know would affect anything...I bought a 32 g sd card to replace the 16g....don't know how that could do anything but hey,,,like I said ,not to savvy bout this

Never fear, I have a 32GB card in my BIONIC as well.

Try reinstalling the drivers - that might help. I believe that Media mode requires no drivers, but PC does. So it sounds like the drivers might be off.

Make sure USB Debugging is enabled, as well.
