Hello, all.

Just got a Droid Razr Maxx HD (Verizon). I decided to root it, partially to get rid of bloatware and partially just because I want to see what it lets me do. The system on it is 4.1.1, so the resources I've seen online say that I can't root it as is. I need to set it back to ICS, root it, and then restore JB after installing VooDoo RootKeeper to preserve root access.

To set my system back to ICS, I read that I need to use Matt's utility. I went to look for it, and here I am.

I look forward to chatting with y'all. I'm definitely not a technophobe, but neither am I a hacker or any type of techie. Please be gentle to the n00b :-)

If there is anything I need to watch out for, during the root process, or here on the forums, any pointers are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
~G
