I can use any ROM that uses /sdcard and also /extSdCard

But when I try to install one of the
[ROM] [CDMA RAZR] Paragon Series ROMS,

Axiomcs- dream killer rom,

[Rom] [Razr] Wizzed Bean CNvi - 4.1.2 - GS3 Touchwiz + Speed + Battery life,

or
[ROM][STOCK][Base] Paranoid Android Hybrids - CM10 and AOKP 12/20

I can not get my external sdcard to register.. at all. Eject .. reinsert./.. nada....

I am running
[Rom] [Razr Cdma] Evolution 5.1 | ICS 4.0.4 | [Updated] [12/10/12]

and totally love it. I also came from Flick 5.0 and that rocked too. Both work well and read my extsdcard. But I would like to figure out what I need to do to get ROMS with /storage0 and /storage1 to work. Maybe reformat the extsdcard? I really dont know what else to do othre than go into /etc/initmapphoneroot.ic (whatever it is called.. that is not it.. but hope you can get the idea) and change the mount points

On the Paranoid rom look in storage/sdcard0 for the internal storage and storage/sdcard1 for external sdcard. It may be the same for the others you mentioned. Don't have any of them installed at the time so I can't say for sure.
