I had to switch phones this week and have an old Razr HD Maxx - XT926.
I bought from ebay and never really used it before - it has bootloader unlocked, rooted and running Pacman 4.4 ROM.

Anyway I live in Ireland can can't get my SIM recognised.
It get the error No signal!! your sim does not allow a connection to this network or unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped

Reading through the forum i see there are know issues with the XT926 users that are outside the US, use SIM cards and Custom ROMS.

What is the quickest way to get my phone actually to work as a phone :)

I think i can flash back to Stock?

Can i flash a XT925 ROM without bricking?

Is there a Custom ROM i can use that does not have this GSM issue -Currently have teh JB Bootloader so ideally a ROM compatible with that?

Build.prop attached.

I tried this patch

You cant use a 925 image on the 926 so dont bother. In my experiences I have ONLY been able to get the GSM stuff working on the STOCK rom. Thats not to say it doesnt or wont work in a Custom ROM, but no matter what I tweaked, I couldnt get it working.

Also even with the Stock ROM, I had to manually tweak the APN settings to make sure they matched what the cellular provider had in that country.

Thank you for looking at this.

I went back to stock today using DROID RAZR HD Utility 1.21 - Window

1 Flash 4.1.2 Stock System, Kernel, and Radio (Data Wipe) [from AP Fastboot]

The flash back to stock worked but still the same issue :(

I am fully back to stock now, was able to take the OTA updates and am now at 4.4.2 (Version 182.46.10.XT926.Verizon.en.US)

Edit - now rooted and unlocked also

My SIM is still not recognised.

Anything else that would stop the SIM being recognised?
