This is a Verizon Droid Razr M. XT907.

 

I've seen this mentioned elsewhere but never a fix other than hardware reset.....

 

 

The phone will start to boot, I get that annoying droid sound followed by the clanking metal sound....sometimes the audio seems to get cut off, the boot animation continues, the doors close, the glowing red blob fluctuates and then......nothing....fluctuating red blob forever....

 

 

 

I have an important series of text messages/photos from the ex-wife that my lawyer has instructed me to keep on my cell phone...Am I F'ed?

 

Any way to boot into recovery and re-install the OS without destroying the data? I am running the latest 4.4.2fw.

Ah no worries man... Just make sure you read and follow his directions. Also make sure you have the correct FXZ file for your phone and the latest version.
