This is the OTA from yesterday, JellyBean 4.1.2. (Build# 9.8.20-72_VZW-8)
Installs through SafeStrap, but does not boot. I have a feeling it's something simple I'm overlooking, but I'm a bit burnt out on it.
---------------- NM
I was doing some stuff on it to try to make it pure AOSP but I got nervous doing it on the unsafe side, so I'm trying to make a safestrap bootable one and not having much luck.
So far it's got 4.2 Launcher and all of the basic 4.2 apps. It's also zip aligned and deodexed, pre-rooted and busybox'd
Help a brotha out (plus, I know tons of people want this to start making custom roms based on stock)

Won't get a base like this until we get the symlinks and permissions of an updater-script. It's nothing simple you're over looking lol
I got a deodxed, debloated, zip aligned, tweaked up base with init.d support. Can't flash it because there's no updater script. Hash code has been the guy to give us our updater-scripts so far...

I figured it was something simple like that.
Been a long time since I messed around with anything like this.
Oh well, I'll save it for later then.
Thanks for the reply!
Too bad too, took me a long gluteus maximus time to tweak it, haha.

Just a noob but why can't you get permissions and symlinks from the updater script in the OTA file?

I thought about that actually. Didn't try because I didn't wanna and also because the symlinks and permissions section of the leak updater script seemed a little short to me.
Very very good question.
