since that cant be had at Verizon or Moto it seems....last night I lost connectivity to VZW and cant get back. Just prior I had gone into the Field Test Menu area and was just looking around and changed NOTHING. When I backed out, I lost all connectivity. Now if I go back in, it seems like it "understands" GSM as there are choices for that but none for CDMA anymore that were there previously. So far nothing I have done has fixed me up yet.

I treied everything I could think of with the device itself, and nothing. I swapped the SIM back into my XT926 and it worked fine. Put it back in NX6 and still no go. I think the only thing I havent tried is a Full nuke and re-pave using the original google code.

Any suggestions seriously appreciated since I dont want to RMA this thing and it was working so nicely. Or if anyone wants to take the chance to look at the Field Menu settings and let me know what you have, maybe something did change that I can change back....

ARGH I just want to cry atm :)

Found some similar poor people over in xda and seems like nuke and repave is the only fix.

That sucks.  Could the encryption cause something like this?

Yeah its a big PITA but being a crackflasher it goes pretty quick.

No, I dont think it has to do with Encryption since it just seems like a Network type of issue. But I am baffled and VZW was useless and Moto was even more useless on this.

Backing up things now. Will try FDR from Recovery first and then its off to HoN :)

You could try flashing just the radios first and dump cache, I doubt that would work, but worth a shot

I did and Thats the weird thing, the backup from before doesnt work when you restore it....

Gonna see if a restore now will work.....stay tuned.

UPDATE: OK so restoring a known good backup after getting the SIM back still works fine.

I'd be curious to know if setting Preferred Network Type to Global, then under Network Operators selecting Automatic would restore radio access to VZW's network.

I noticed after switched off ip6 under the current, and correct, APN, I lost all network access... Even re-enabling IP6 didn't fix the issue.  I had to redo the automatic register of the network by selecting global, then automatic under network operators.  This auto sets the Network Type to LTE/CDMA.

Whether this would work for someone in a similar situation as the OP, I have no idea; however, I'd be curious if it would work.
