Wow thanks guys, that utility sounds awesome! I'll have to give it a try. So it makes it so you can run the new roms for the jb leak such as team speed core's triplecore, or batakang?

I had that happen when I first got the OP download.....I found another download on this site and all was well run the utility again just to be safe do not try to install root from the utility.....I tried and failed ......FYI it takes quite a while to verify system.....and first boot as well.....good luck

Thanks to all that replied and I'm here to say that we successfully installed JB on my friend's phone and kept root...found out what prevented JB from installing initially on his phone: SS still being on the phone of course, he deleted apps off of his stock ROM and not using Matt's Utility to fastboot back to .211

Thanks for posting this follow up, I've been getting this error for a few days and I couldn't figure it out. This was also the solution to my problem, and I am now enjoying stock JB. :)

I downloaded the leaked OTA. Tried installing on a Droid Razr and no go. AP Fastboot back with Matt's utility. Wiped everything, before, after several times. Still no go. I get either a status 7 fail or verification failed whenever I attempt it. I also have a Razr Maxx and it took first try, no hassles.

Anyone else getting this repeatedly and found an answer? I am stumped. I have read all the posts I could find on the subject and nothing.

Might want to try formatting internal memory.
