First off id like to be able to root and unlock my xt926m i bought this phone on ebay with 4.1.2jb on it.

system version 9.30.1 build number 9.8.1Q-94-1.

What is the best method to get to kitkat and root/unlock this phone. Im currently grandfathered in with unlimited data so id like to be able to use a hotspot exploit.

Any input will be much appreciated!
