Apps keep crashing (running Android 4.4.2), including pre-installed apps like gmail, google play newsstand and IMDB. I open them and click on something and get a message like "Unfortunately, Gmail has stopped." The app opens OK, it's only when I try to do something (like open an email) that it crashes. I have restarted and cleaned all app caches. I have restored the apps to their factory condition, but they still crash. Any ideas? Thanks.

I've already unintalled the only app new in the last couple of weeks. The google play services update automatically (though I removed to updates to newsstand when it started crashing).

Thanks. I was hoping not to have to do a factory reset, but that might be the only answer. Thanks for your help.
