So I foolishly deleted the logwrapper and logwrapper.bin files on my Razr Maxx and now my phone will not boot.
Is there a way to save my phone? If not, is there a way to save the data on my phone?

For some reason I cannot get adb on my XP or Windows 7 VMs to see my Razr Maxx, so getting shell access to push/rename backups doesn't seem very realistic, but at this point I'm willing to try anything just to get my data back.

Slight rant: Whose dumb*** decision was it to rename the internal (non-removable) storage "/mnt/sdcard" and mount the actual SD Card as "/mnt/sdcard-ext"? ARG!

As far as the filesystem names and mount points .... blame that on Motorola and or Google ..... lol .... anyway .... are you rooted and do you have safe strap installed ? .on a custom ROM? Or stock.... ICS or JB...... can you boot into recovery (safe strap)

I'm rooted running stock ICS. No safe strap installed. I can boot the Motorola recovery (looks like nandroid)

Since you are on ICS.... you can use the 1.82 utility to reset your phone back to stock so it will boot.... etc... in recovery ...you can make a "nandroid" backup .... but if the data on your sdcard(s) is all you are worried about then once you use the utility... then you will have access to everything as it does not wipe the sdcards.....

Are you telling me that the 1.82 utility will work even without adb?

Also, the recovery is the standard Android Recovery system, so I cannot make a backup =(

What boot mode should I pick to use these tools?
Normal Powerup
Recovery
AP Fastboot
BP SBF Flash
BP Only
BP HW Diag & Boot AP
BP Tools

Yes..... the restore function of the utility uses fastboot (files are included in utility) ... the root function uses adb (also included in the utility) ....

To get into stock recovery from that screen you use volume down to highlight recovery.... then volume up to select it.... when the android (on his back) shows up on the screen press both volume up and down to enter recovery....

Are you positive you were still on ICS.... ? That look similar to the errors that people are seeing when running 1.82 on the JB leak.....

I am 100% positive I was running ICS.
I received this device in August and it never ran any other version. Plus, when running the stock ROM who could confuse gingerbread with ice cream sandwich?

Ok sorry if that seemed bad or possibly offended you by asking that but... those errors just struck me as odd....... .you did start off with plenty of battery charge right....?..... its also possible you may have a bad or corrupted download of the 1.82 utility..... maybe try re- downloading the utility and run option 1 again.....

None taken.
Yep, started with a full charge and didn't have any battery issues.

I suppose anythings possible but the utility didn't run into any errors.

If there's a way to edit system via fast boot, I'm pretty sure that I can fix it because I made a back up of the logwrapper files before I made the edits...

Far as I know, editing via fastboot is not possible.... but we have seen situations where the utility has failed but RSD has worked.... that may be an option for you if the utility fails again..... just to try to rule out your computer being at fault for the errors, you do have the latest drivers right? .... and reboot prior to running utility? ....

It doesn't look like the utility ran correctly from the script generated while using it. It looks like you wiped your personal data when you ran it the first time. Run it again. I think something didn't take, for whatever reason. If you are on ICS then you have the fastboot files to reinstall stock .211 and start fresh with all your system files intact.
