I got a great deal for a Razr HD off of Craigslist for 150. But I'm coming from the OG Razr Maxx and would really like a Maxx HD. I was thinking about flipping the Razr HD back on CL for 400 and using that to get a Maxx HD off of Ebay (they're going 400-600 there).

Coming from the OG Razr Maxx I dont think I can go back to reg battery life again (OG Razr was horrible). With that being said though the Razr HD does have a 2500 mah battery....which isnt that bad, but it is more power to push. So would it be comparable to the OG Razr, or is it a bit better?

I don't have one to compare with my OG Maxx, but I can offer you what I've read and heard. That is, the battery life is on par and in some instances, even better on the HD compared to the OG Maxx, and blows the OG RAZR away in terms of battery life, due to better battery tech and O.S optimizations. Even though the OG Maxx has the 3300mah, vs the HD's 2500mah battery. I don't quite know about the Maxx HD, it also has the 3300mah battery like the OG Maxx, although as I said, the battery tech and O.S optimizations supposedly makes it last longer or at least on par, even with the faster processor and larger more pixel dense screen.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that the HD's CPU is much more power efficient than the OG Razr which contributes quite a bit, at least from what I've seen. I didn't think this would make much of a difference, but when comparing my Razr Maxx to my GF's Razr M (equipped with the S4 chip), she gets similar if not better battery life than me.

No correction needed. As I've read and understood it, your right on spot.

My Razr HD is superior to the OG Maxx that I got rid of in battery performance.
i'm getting about 50% better battery than I got on my Maxx. This is with a regular Razr HD.

YMMV

I usually get about 12-14 hours screen on time per charge on my MHD...about 2 days the way I use it, but could prob go a week on 1 charge with moderate use...its a beast
although I charge it every night because I like to begin the day with a full charge..

I had a RAZR HD NOT MAXX and I was getting almost as good as my old xt912 OG RAZR MAXX was. And was completely content but now I've bought a RAZR HD MAXX and holy bat capers Robyn I think I could RSD non stop from here to Mars Geez its got a hell of a battery in it.

The OG razr had a 1780mah batt vs the new non-maxx is 2530mah. So the jump to the MAXX used to be roughly double your battery. It's far less now.

My RAZR HD definitely is better at keeping a charge than my og RAZR MAXX. I would love to have a MAXX HD but the HD was a warranty replacement for my og MAXX which had a swelling battery pack. But, I'm not complaining. The way the RAZR HD keeps a charge is amazing. Sent from my Droid RAZR MAXX HD under an Eclipse.

i would say that the MX HD will double the battery life of RZR HD, eventhough they listed the battery 2500mAh vs 3300mAh

if you look closely at my screenshot, the phone idle is only 4%

look at other RZR HD screenshot above and you will feel the gap...

RZR MX HD is definitely uncomparable up until now.

running stock 9.16.6 rooted, no mods, location service on, using mobile data EVDO all day long but wifi is turned on also. Imagine what you can gain with custom ROMs...
