I wish I could do more. When you find the right firmware you will do well.  You catch on very quickly to all of this and I haven't seen any as you say dumb questions. Keep me posted please.

One other thing your phone uses an intel processor so the support files in HOM won't work properly.

There may even be a special flashing tool for the intel processor.  Here is a page with your phone specs.

Thank you for the link above, the post by John Wilson at the bottom of the page is instructive and shows that the problem is widespread. I had a contact by e-mail with a Motorola service in France and in French

So far, I have obtained very vague replies, but nothing really effective, for instance, last may 4th

 

"Je vais faire monter votre cas pour voir si on peut trouver une solution. Pour l'instant je vous déconseille de déverrouiller le chargeur d'amorçage de votre téléphone.

Nous allons peut-être pouvoir envoyer le téléphone en réparation même si il n'est plus sous garantie. Je ne vous promets pas ça mais il y a des bonnes chances pour cela. Par contre si vous allez déverrouiller le téléphone, je ne suis pas sure que nous puissions envoyer le téléphone en réparation."

 

 If I can translate,

 

your case will be examined to get a solution. For the moment, I do not recommend to unlock the bootloader of your phone.

We may be able to send the  phone for repair, even if it is out of warranty. I do not promise you that, but there are good chances for that. By cons, if you unlock the phone, I'm not sure that we can send the phone for repair.

I would look into elevating the request and reference the previous request and the time that has passed since last response from them. Keep the pressure on them.
