With my safe strap system off I am running stock 6.11.744 does that mean that my safe strap system when on runs off of the same version?

Im 99% sure that both your safe and non safe will run .744. Just out of curiousity how come you didnt update to .748?

Your safe side will have the system files from whatever version you put there, but it will depend on the radio, kernel, and any other peripheral drivers/firmware that belong to the non-safe version. Best bet, is keep both sides on the same version... or better yet, stop using SafeStrap unless you are alpha-testing something to eliminate potential problems that the mixing can cause.

Not to sound rude, but if you were the kind of person that should be using SafeStrap you wouldn't be asking something like this. You would be better off using the standard bootstrap method instead. Using SafeStrap unnecessarily can just make things complicated for those trying to help you because you introduce more variables that you might not know mention exist.

No worries I just had problems using razorbootstrap tried multiple times to flash a new rom but always get stuck in boot loop so I tried safe strap and rom worked the first time on installation and just never had to sbf back since then

DID THIS AT 8AM THIS MORNING

I wiped data/ factory reset in SS
I wiped cache partition
Wiped mounts storage "system"
Wiped dalvik

Disabled safe mode
Rebooted

Uninstalled SS using the app in the app drawer

Removed SS with app manager

Did a full RSD provided by Dirty Dirty

Used zergrush unroot to remove old files

Used zergfush rootme

Voodoo protected root
Protect root and temp Un root

Checked for system update.. updated to.748

Then flashed. 173... moto recovery
Then flashed. 174... moto recovery

Restored root

I did not wipe once

I came from a Safe strapped IC3

Does safestrap affect ota by just having it installed? I just have it on my phone to be safe if I would need it for recovery to to restore. I never used the other option that it has (what is it safe or non safe or something). I read this site daily and it seems there are yes and no answers to almost all of the questions.

I am still on .748 awaiting for whichever release comes whether it will be .173 or .174 or another. All bloat is just as is. Phone is rooted and have everything backed up on Titanium backup Pro. Had bootstrap installed but then uninstalled as I felt safestrap would have been more beneficial if something were to happen since all I would have to do is hit menu and into CWR I go. The only thing I have used safestrap for is to do a backup in CWR. Does this mess with the preinstall folder or is it only if you use the "safe system" option cause I never used safe system and when I open the safe strap app it even says safe system: Not Active

Thanks!
