Now that you mention it, I do not see any of the frozen apps after removing root! I will try rooting again & then unfreeze the bloatware and try again, thanks for getting me to think a little harder! Will post what happens...

Fail! I unfroze all of the apps & removed root & tried again. However my battery is at 40%, im wondering if that would fail the update? Anyways, going to try charging more & try again. Last resort = factory reset!

A Built in factory reset won't usually fix that issue and will require that you RSD/Fastboot to fix it. Just a heads up. Also, make sure your battery is above 60% when flashing just to prevent any issues.

Got it. Thats what I ended up having to do. I found the info here:

Once the process was complete I had to apply the update that was release last December, then ran the update again & it worked. Thanks guys for all of your suggestions!!! I thought that when an update appears & you apply it, it updates & removes root? That didnt seem to be the case here.... I want to try rooting it again, but I dont want to go through the same BS when I.C.S. comes!!

I got the official OTA update from Rogers in Canada and they have added the carrier name to the notification bar.
There is already not enough room there.
Does anyone know how to remove the carrier name?

Thanks
