I call it Simple RAZR Restore. Run the .bat, follow the on-screen instructions, and welcome back to 6.11.744 stock unrooted.

Without further waiting...

Use this if your RSD Lite isn't working, or just feel like trying something different for a change.

This is what became my Droid RAZR Utility. If you want you can use that instead (Full Version)

I will be keeping the Utility updated, not this.

Matt, thanks for your efforts. One stop, batchfile returns to root sound much more palatable.

I need to ask - if one goes back to stock unrooted .744, can they just use OTA to go directly to the latest version i.e. 173 or whatever else comes afterwards?

Got my Razr Maxx 2wks ago, recently rooted w/Moto_Droid_Razr_Windows.zip
& after using Root Explorer method of changing the mount3 file to preserve root despite OTA update (I also d/l'ed the Voodoo OTA rootkeeper, in case I wanna temp turn off root & quickly return) I ran theOTA to go fm the .748 that was originally on the device & I got plain vanilla failure notice, no err codes.
In TB I defrosted everything fm the OS & hadn't deleted anything, only thing I can think of is that I changed some icons w/rom toolbox, but I'm pretty sure that I restored using the in app backup.

So I'd like to use your gr8 sounding RazrRestore method, root, preserve root, & then OTA to latest ver & continue w/being rooted & having the latest OS version, after all, ICS _is_ coming!

TIA, seeker

OK, I just saw your other thread, w/the zip file to go to .748 that was posted & I didn't see it..., but I'd still like to know, can one go fm .744, skipping .748 & go straight to 173 via OTA. Sorry, didn't see all your great posts, was working in 'hit & run back to what I was doing before' mode... thanks in advance, your work makes me comfortable doing so much more w/my Razr...

Not possible. Moto updates only work 1 step at a time

Matt, thanks so much! Like so many here have said, you are doing the Razr community a huge service & are making people's lives easier to get things done on a higher level.

I am gonna d/l your Full 1.2 utility & then get back to a stock .748 & use the very thoughtfully included bootstrap & voodoo files & get to 173 w/root! Already d/l'ing the zip file for my physical, external SD card & that should make it all gravy.

Suggestion, if you add PayPal for donations, I can add my ( > $.02) when more $ come in.. well worth it, you provide & facilitate much & I'm sure it'll help me a lot as a 'rooting & hacking safety net' in the future.

Matt, $5.00 is on it's way to you via PayPal, if not there already! ;)

It is what someone would pay for a good droid app & I hope that you get a lot more donations, you deserve it! I normally don't make such donations, but the help I've had makes it worthwhile - even if it doesn't reflect on the value of the help & I am sending it even if I am a little (wallet)-strapped :-Q after buying my RMaxx & accessories!

This time I didn't put my foot in my mouth, your sig shows Master Visa Amex Discover & bank - nothing about PayPal.... at least on my Win 7 Home Prem SP1 machine & Chrome browser...

Have a good weekend & know that your help really makes a big difference,

Will the utility tool work if you're on the ics leak and also have the modifier installed? Currently on the first ics leak and trying to get back to get the latest update to ics.
