Well verizon finally has 4g in my area but the signal goes back to 3g about a half mile from my house. What a b***h!!! I've been looking at 4g signal boosters and antennas on amazon but they cost a pretty good chunk of money (anywhere between 250.00 to 500.00). Before I put that kind of money into it, I'd like to know if any of you have gone this route and how it works for you. Thanks in advance.

Vzw released a press release that by the end of 2013, their 4G footprint will match their outgoing 3G network. When they turned 4G on in my area early last year, it was spotty at best and would NEVER work indoors. By November, I had LTE working in every rat hole in town. Where do you live, let's start there because unless you're in an extremely rural area where they are in no rush to light up, I would just chill and give them some time to get it going a bit more.

Yeah, I'll probably just wait a little while before I make that kind of financial plunge. I am in a pretty rural area, about five miles out of town. I'm barely getting 3g with my phone. I also have a usb mobile broadband for the house. I'm using a usb extension cable going up to my ceiling by a window and I can get one bar of 4G (two at night). That's why I thought an antenna might help. But that's limited to 5 gigs a month. Still have unlimited on my phone, so I would love to be able to tether off it. I might wait until summer and then see what's up.

Yeah hang in there. At least for the highway robbery of a price we pay for Vzw service one could at least say they get their network up and running fast and efficient. I'd give em a few months to finish testing and turning on more towers in your area before I made any major investment.

Well, lucky for you guys. I live in a forest condensed area and receive a weak 4G LTE signal. It's 3G about 90% of the time and we've had LTE in my town since the start :(

I have a weak 3g and 4g signal at home. It bounces back and forth between them if I don't set it to CDMA only. I do have a 3g booster that gives me better reception though. I may be picking up an lte booster soon.

I just WISH I had wi fi. My parents live on a dirt road and they have dsl. It just burns my a$$. And of course, where I live there's no cable . I've heard some bad things about satellite internet so I'm stuck with big red for a while.

I have satellite at home and it works great but its limited. When I get close to my limit I have to tether my phone. If I had better signal I'd ditch my satellite as is pretty expensive.
