Well with the Straighttalk deal where you buy a Sim Card for $15 and then you only have to pay $45 a month (no contract) for unlimited data, text, voice (data is not really unlimited), I went ahead with buying a Note just to simply play with one.
In order to use Straighttalk with this deal you need an AT&T, TMO, or unlocked GSM International phone, so I bought an unlocked international note. Dual core Exynos at 1.4GHZ baby w00t w00t.
Still staying on VZW however b/c I will never give up my two unlimited lines lol. For the Note I can just use my hotspot on my Razr to connect my Note to for data.
Anybody else played with a Note? Also have a 7.7 Galaxy Tab on the way (international) and may throw the sim card in that just to get some laughs out in public using it as a phone.
Very excited and while I know VZW is getting the Note (name changed to Journal) I doubt it will be as quick as the international version being to fit the LTE radio hardware, the chips will have to be changed out.
I have heard Samsung does have Exynos chips that work with LTE, but I don't think they work when going back to 3G on CDMA.
