Losing data stored on my sd card. It just vanished . Just wondering if maybe my son card is deleting them. I woke up this morning and all my songs 138.of them were no longer there. Photos were missing to the navigon maps were no longer there also my download folder with probably 20 downloads also all were on my sd card. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Try rebooting the phone?
Remove card and put it in a PC or Mac to see if they see the same thing.
Card maybe bad.

Ok same on computer too I had only a little over 10 GB left on my sd card which is a 32 GB card. Now there is over 24 GB free. This is so weird that it seems only the things I had on my sd card just was missing but every program is there. I did a restore but still didn't do any good. Just seems to have been sucked into a black hole while on the charger last night.

Not sure this is needed still but do you eject your phone before disconnecting? I suspect your SD card is corrupt. You should format the SD card and if it keeps on RMA the card if possible.

Thanks for trying to help me with this problem. I had this same sd card in my htc thunderbolt for over a year with no issues. I have got every thing back on it again and it's doing fine for now. I just hate that I lost the pics and videos I took with my camera. If it does it again like that I will try re formatting it in the phone or just getting a new one. I really hate having a sd card I can't depend on. Again thanks.

You should put dropbox on your phone, then it will upload all your pics so they are backed up.

Yep I believe it uses picasa to back them up to the cloud. Not sure how much storage you get and such.

I had the same issue with mine. Except the phone would no longer recognize the card. I could shut the phone down and reboot it and it would recognize it once more but as soon as I started to write to the card it would "eject" software wise. It was so odd because even after I would remove the card and put it in my computer the computer wouldn't even recognize it. I could go to manage drives in windows and it wouldn't even show up. I actually went through 3 phones and two brand new 32GB cards before changing to a 16Gb all Samsung cards and all class 10. Since switching to the 16GB my problem has ceased.
