Hello all. I just jumped into the RAZR scene. I'm on ICS running eclipse with safe strap 3. Where can I find the job update and is there root, rooms and a way to fxz in case of a fudge up?
Thanks in advance for your help

Ok first, maybe you should read these on

on language,

and relax, you wont mess it up, because we have tools in the dev section, where you can read all about it, instead of you just looking and reading everything, I gave you quick links that have instructions within them.

Now, I have no idea where you are at at this point, some details aside from safe strap, as to what you have done, where your at, etc, would be helpful, I volunteer my time to help people, so any way you can help me help you, would really help me out.

Thank you

Sorry about the language, I will endeavor to do better next time.

Okay. I'm just skeptical with my moto phones. This is the first phone I've paied full price for. So I'm trying to not mess it up like I did the bionic.

Right now I'm on safe strap 3 with eclipse on my ROM slot two and stock in the..well stock area. Haha. I've grown accustomed to the galaxy nexus so I've sorta forgotten all the steps for moto.

When I unboxxed this thing I was on ICS.
I am currently on my school campus with no laptop, and limited WiFi..

to the T, Which means,
go to your stock side,
del rom slots,
uninstall Safe Strap,
Remove any leftover Safe Strap Folders,
roms backups as they are useless once you update,
Download Utility 1.82, run it,
factory reset as much as you can,
Re-Root, update root,
use Voodoo OTA root keeper, like it said 4 times,
put the leak on the SD card, Go into Recovery, flash it..
Then restore root with Voodoo,
install Safe Strap,
install roms..

If something Goes wrong and you do somehow Brick or can't restore root on JB, then you can use a utility and the new

It's probably a bit late and I'm not really anybody to be criticizing but I see so many people asking about upgrading to JB and they immediately get steered toward the leak. Seems to me it should be pointed out they can run JB roms without the hassles of not being able to go back to ICS by using the dual boot utility. The end result is the same and you aren't stuck on JB should you decide you want to go back to ICS. Seems to me they should be given both options and then let them choose. IMHO, with the dual boot utility being available, seems to me it's foolish to flash the leak.

With the JB ROMs on the ICS kernel being buggy/ things not working, none of the devs working on ICS anymore and being guaranteed an official OTA from this leak to the official JB OTA, there really isn't any downside on flashing the leak.. there are 2 bugs that I can think of. But IT IS much more stable than flashing a JB ROM on the ICS kernel.
