Yea I excluded the 128GB OCZ that I brought to work cause I abuse the snot out of that machine... dual xeon 2ghz w/32GB ram, the matching GTX 260 as well. Xubuntu primary os, plus Win7 VM, nedi monitoring vm, and Junos Space management platform. SSD swap makes me a very happy camper!

Oh it will not like it but I suspect you will force feed that proc a lot of pain! LOLLmao I couldn't resist. But sadly I'm selling my 2700k that has performed admirably. Got a 3770k being picked up for me hopefully it accepts my abuse just as well.

The highest I've heard of a 3770K being pushed is 4.5, they don't OC as well as I'd like... though I'm not one to push the limits.

Yeah its a 1GB. I've thought about doing the pin mod that overclocks the q6600 to 3.0Ghz but I don't want to screw anything up since this is my only machine...
I hear yea.. Intel backs them down out the box from what they really can put out ( if you will ) so its like they are made to oc, At certain parameters ( if you will)
Life expectancy on any chip when oc is a question thou. But the right cooling could question that.

Yeah I would probably need a new cooler since I still have the stock one and when the CPU starts working, it sounds like the thing is gonna take off. And it still runs in the upper 60s lol
