One of the newest ROMs available, Fuzion HD, has been able to manipulate the number of the softkeys. Is there any chance we could see a mod for other ROMs, or a generic one for any ROM, available any time soon?
I came from the GNex and one of the best things about that was being able to change the number and images for the navbar buttons. I know before any of the ROMs had that option baked in there was a separate flashable zip we could use to change that.
Is anyone working on anything like that or is it possible already?

I think you can use the nexus mods but can't remember for sure. Try it. Make a back up first, flash and if it boot loops or anything just restore your back up.

There is a thread over in rootzwiki. Even gives a tutorial on how we can make these ourselves .
