Hi guys (and gals ;),

I was sooo happy to find that the Jelly Bean leak seems to be the prodigal son of OS's to our half baked ICS that, well, was based on good intentions with empty promises. Well, enough analogies and personal opinions!
I have found, to my dismay, that I am unable to get one of my favorite (paid!) apps to work with a relatively bug free, fast and smooth OS. Have I overlooked the obvious? I haven't seen any other widgets become non functional and only more functions that we, up to this point, have had to port over and have partial use. Does anyone know of an older version of Beautiful Widgets that works with the current "leaked" Jelly Bean OTA?
If someone has found a work around or an older version that works could someone, please, attach the file to a dropbox or other file sharing program/site? It really was a great MY phone app that was a beautiful interface to mother nature.

Thanks in advance to anyone who is willing to give me the time and their know how to a technological infant. I am lucky that I am able to follow the dot to dot instructions to some wonderful hacks and how tos!

bout to run the dual boot and figure it out. I use it a lot too so it would be good to figure out. :D
In my Ferocious convictions, and in-dominant belief in my own actions, it would be a great advantage to anyone's interest who lay with mine..... Vanten Kiest

WP, please describe what isn't working & the context when it stops.

I have Beautiful Widgets 5.07 on my Razr Maxx, running JellyWiz rom on a dual boot JB setup.

It works for me… did have some probs, w/clocks becoming corrupted, but I just deleted the clocks & weather schemes fm within the BW & then deleted the app & re-downloaded everything…

Same here. I'm running the JB leak using dual boot an haven't had any trouble with Beautiful Widgets. I have the newest version BW. It all works like it always has.

Really? The app works while using dual boot? Unfortunately, this is no longer an option for me. I'm running completely on the stock Jelly Bean kernel (with root, of course). The program acts the same as it did before except there is no option to add a widget when looking to configure the home screen. The other thing to note is that I'm using Apex Pro v 1.4.3 "Enable root helper" is unable to be checked now. It allowed too add widgets from drawer with root acess and was lost thanks to Jelly Bean OTA. I have the Nova launcher as well. I guess it's the launcher app? that would be a hard pill to swallow if that's the case.

Probably is the launcher. I was running BW 4x1 weather only widget on my BIONIC running a JB (AOSP)-based ROM as well, without issues, using Nova Launcher. I don't see why Apex is not working anymore, but at the very least try the stock launcher and / or Nova - that will ascertain if it is your JB leak or if it is the launcher.

john, actuallyif you check out the Apex Settings in 1.43, under root helper, it gives a warning that under JB that root helper feature is 'deprecated' under JB & I am still running BW 5.07 under JellyWiz…

Kewl - then the OP must have a conflicting app somewhere that is not allowing BW to work.

Was worth a thought.
