Noticed a topic on XDA about this and don't know if anyone here is experiencing it.

I'm rooted running ic3razr rom and I temp unrooted to intially get .173.

Prior to installing the OTA 173 I noticed that my .748 signal was always strong, never dropped data, and never went back and forth between 3G and 4G. It was always a good strong 4G.

Now on .173 I constantly drop data to the point where I have to reboot to get the signal back, many places that held a strong 4G are no longer strong and places with a mediocre 4G previously, are now dropping down to 3G.

I know .175 has the same radio as .173 so that won't help.

Anybody else having/noticing this issue?

I'm seriously considering wiping the phone and going back to .748 and just run Absym. The weak 4G doesn't bother me near as much as the data drops where I have to completely reboot the phone to get the signal back.

I'm at work right now so I can't post any numbers of what my signal is, but I can tell when browsing there is an extreme difference between the two OTA's.


ETA: Just confirmed with coryjohn87 his does it too, so we're gonna chalk it up to the rom as of now.

I'm running stock rooted 173 and I haven't noticed any speed or dropped signal issues. If there are any specific tests you would like me or other to run let me know. Just a quick speed test and I've got 13m down, 2m up on 4g.

Thanks for the offer. I think it's the rom...ic3razr. I'm gonna test some stuff tonight once I get home from work and see what happens.

is this. 173 radio have a fix yet
