Hi I have the RAZR maxx. I've noticed this last night when my buddy texted me to bring a charger to class and I never got his text, and then I realized why a girl I met 3 days ago wasn't replying all of the sudden after I texted her a happy Valentine's day in the morning. She then told me she replied and was wondering why I wasn't replying, its been 2 days and I know there's 3 messages I didn't receive and my friend has a razr as well and he did not receive one of my texts already. I have the latest update Android version .3.6, system version 6.12.173.XT912. I have no messaging apps and all the settings are default.
I've seen some forums online and several people have posted it I don't know if it's been reported to the VZW or Motorola techs. So if anyone knows anything please post it up!

Not to depressed you, but texting in VZW eyes are not very important. They dont "look in to it" until 48 hours on VZW to VZW and other carriers they always say its that carriers fault.
This was the information I got about 6 months ago, by a VZW engineer. If it stands true today I dont know, but i doubt they would doing anything unless you can get lucky enough to preform the missing texts in front of them. ( showing past messages from different phones doesnt count, they say you can delete them)

You can try and get another sim card, and see if that works. And see if you have the same problem on the latest OTA update stock set-up.

That's why I trust im more than text messages these days.. I'm providers are more concerned on sending the message through..

Yeah that's the whole problem it works when I test it . Yeah well there's no reason not to contact them and report it. Maybe if they get enough reports they'll look into it, and its not the service problem its a razr problem yeah ill try a new sim. See what happens

I suppose it could be a razr problem but I doubt out. I think it is more of a network issue or whatever. Over the last couple of months my wife had tried texting me and sometimes they don't go through. I have never had any one else send me a text that I didn't receive. After this happened enough to get irritating, I looked at my wife's phone and her texts looked like they were sent by then in details they were showing up as not sent. So it wasn't that my razr want receiving, her phone wasn't sending. Even more strange, I was the only person that she was having trouble sending texts to.

That's weird cuz when I go to view my friends phone it says sent and delivered.have never had that problem with any other Android phone or let alone hear anything like that.

Yeah, don't get me wrong it could be a little bit of both. Pure speculation when a text ends up in no man's land.

I remember last year, I sent my wife a text to the effect of "love you babe" or something and a few minutes later a buddy of mine in another state responds, " didn't know you felt that way... love you too." Glad it was him cuz that could have been awkward. Anyway, I double and triple checked my phone and everything showed that I sent it to my wife and not him. Odd.
