Now that I actually have the device, I tested this thoroughly before releasing, but definitely let me know if you find any issues :)

It installs fine over my safe strap rom but refuses to install on the stock rom slot. I checked to make sure safe strap allows installing to the stock slot and it does, so not sure what the issue is.

Happy to hear you received your device. Hopefully, this is will be a step in the right direction for M dev. Don't know what to say about the issue, I'm still very "green" when it comes to Android and Motorola.

Non of the roms should be installed directly onto stock partition.. i suggest for better results... install it on ROMSlot1 and do all mods in there.. once happy with rom make a back up... once back up is done switch to stock partion and wipe all except external storage thats (cache, dalvik, internal storage, system, factory reset) go back and restore backup while being on stock partition... hope helps with any issues

Thanks for the suggestion, I wasn't aware that stock and slot backups were interchangeable :)
Installing to slot 1 is exactly what I've been doing, which is why I made the stock safe strap system and deodex package. But in hashcode's safe strap op, he states that safe strap has the ability to install to the stock side.
Btw, this isn't exactly a rom, it's a small package of apk files and mods less than 25mb in size.

I know its not a rom.. but i kind of screwed up my base.. so im using this i make my own.. i soon post it... im trying to get the AOSP dialer on but it forcecloses...do you know a way to fix that? i replace all the phone related apks.. set permissions. clear cache, dalvik.. they are like 5 apks.. they have same name and all...

Edit: lol just realised we talking about the other post in wrong one lol.. anyway.. same poster so

Off the top of my head I would guess that the aosp dialer depends on framework components that either are in a different location or don't exist in the blur framework.
Easiest solution I can think of would be to try pulling the dialer from nitroglycerin's eclipse rom; it's as good as it gets as far as a hybrid aosp/blur setup.

this is now just a DeskClock mod rather than a dst toolbox, now that there is a full dst rom.
