The Fact's on the Razr Screen Quality

4.3" Super Amoled 540x960 qHD

What is Super Amoled (Super Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode) ?

An AMOLED display consists of an active matrix of OLED pixels that generate light upon electrical activation that have been deposited or integrated onto a thin film transistor (TFT) array, which functions as a series of switches to control the current flowing to each individual pixel. An AMOLED display consists of an active matrix of OLED pixels that generate light upon electrical activation that have been deposited or integrated onto a thin film transistor (TFT) array, which functions as a series of switches to control the current flowing to each individual pixel.

qHD is a display resolution of 960×540 pixels which is exactly one quarter of a full HD 1080p frame, in a 16:9 aspect ratio.

What the Reviewer's are saying

The RAZR’s 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display is impressive.

The 540 x 960 qHD resolution really suits the screen size, offering more lines of text on web pages and in books,

crisper fonts in some cases, and better HD video viewing.

While most Motorola smartphones use an LCD display, the RAZR comes with a 4.3” Super AMOLED qHD screen. As it is always the case with AMOLED, the contrast is extraordinary, with black levels that LCD displays simply can’t reach. I was surprised to see that although slightly saturated, the Droid RAZR display did not exhibit any sign of complete color aberration often found in Samsung’s phones. I have been told that it is something that can be tweaked (to a point), and that each manufacturer had its own way.
Although very nice, I can see a slight pixel pattern which remotely *looks like*

– I’m not saying it is. Fortunately, most people won’t notice, but if you pay attention, you can see a slight moire effect. From what I can tell, this is extremely subtle here – unlike what I saw on the

Which Games are Best?

I have found the following games to be a very good gaming experience

To me its smoother and more crisp than Bionic

This game is very fast paced and the Razr does a great job at keeping up with it

I have the graphics in settings menu turned all the way up!

Dungeon Defenders puts the most strain on hardware that I'm aware of as far as games goes. It's free and addicting to boot!

Blood and Glory, Need For Speed Shift, and Samurai II: Vengeance all look and run great on the Razr. I always use those and a few of the others posted to show mine off. :P

Race Of Champions (ROC) looks and works great on the Razr, as does SimCity too. It's a shame all the Gameloft titles I've tried haven't worked at all :(

Whereas Fruit Ninja is pretty addicting, it doesn't run well on our hardware. If you get some good combo action going (a must), the game really stutters. Another that suffers from this infirmity is Hex Defense. All other games I've played run super smooth and render beautifully.

I am 100% positive that Scooter Hero does not show off the graphic capabilities of the Razr,,, but this game to me is one of the most addictive games I have played. It's very simple yet if you like the idea of self improvement of your own scores or even competing with friends and family. It is very fun.

I bought asphalt 6 from the gameloft website and it runs awesome. It also really shows off the graphics. I'm not sure why they sell razr games from the website and not in the market.

Sonic 4 was just released and runs and looks amazing I have to pry my phone from my kids just to use it. I have a question I had bought a lot of game loft games on my droid x and usually I can reload them to a different phone through Titanium back up but none of those worked on my razr

I had to purchase my gameloft games from their web site and not from the market. They have RAZR versions, you just have to go find them.

I also bought Asphalt 6 (HD?) from the Gameloft Store. The graphics are some kind of weird on my Razr, I don't know if its normal... It's pretty bad that Gameloft don't update their games to make them available on the Razr. I wanted to play alot of their games like Modern Combat 3, 9mm,... Maybe they will do it later but I doubt it.

Sorry for my bad english :)
