Ok so I think I have a kind of unique problem. In January I flashed the 4.1.2 OTA. I lost root and rather than find a fix utility (I didn't know there was one) I freaked out and tried to RSD Lite back to ICS. Well that obviously failed, d'oh! Thus I was left with the AP Fastboot screen every time I restart the phone. I can get past this, but it is a pain.
Anyway, I was extatic to find that there is now a root tool. So I used the root .bat file to root it. I figured that I could just wipe the dalvik and that would fix the problem. So I installed Safestrap and tried wiping EVERYTHING! So now I have a rooted 4.1.2 razr that keeps getting the AP Fastboot. I'm hoping that since there is now a root, there might be a new RSD Lite that can "stock" flash my phone to 4.1.2. I'm pretty sure that is the issue. Is this possible?

TL;DR
Rooted RAZR 4.1.2 stuck with AP Fastboot. wiping Dalvik didn't work.

All you need to do is flash a boot logo via fastboot. Let me see if I can find you a link.

Also matt's unbrick utility will work but you will have to reapply the JB leak and reroot. Basically you just need a successful fastboot flash to clear up the flash failure.

Just to clarify you can still boot into stock ROM at this time but get the AP fastboot flash failure each boot? Rereading your post confused me lol.

OK good. Flash failure came from trying to fastboot back to ics. But with the security changes you can't. Glad you got it working. Sorry for all the responses lol.

This is some good info. Thanks tmyinc. I am going to have Satman80 add this to his How to for noobs thread.

matt's utility says getting into safestrap is necessary. really?
I installed SS 3.12, but i could not find the menu button. Can i use this utility to repair my flash failure error?
My phone is Razr M XT907, JellyBean, sys ver. 98.12.4.XT907.Verizon.en.US, rooted.

I installed safestrap for 720P RAZR HD, so the menu button is not visible.... And after i flashed the right SS apk for RAZR M, i got it.

Besides, i fixed the flash failure error by flashing boot logo as follows.
