apk multi tool wont let me extract/decompile system ui, I think its telling me its coded or something, frustrating, any ideas bout that?

OK..sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you..but it is a value in system Ui..because so far that is the only one I have really been changing XML in...trying to get some dang transparency!!!!

Yeah..and I just tried yet another thing.. edited a smali file and successfully compiled.. but it was futile. Still no transparent status bar or navigation pulldown in JB.

Is it some xml that can be taken out of ics and added into jellybean
I mean it might have to be from two or three places that would reference it

For the line or transparency? The transparency seems to be because moto decided to change a few things. For the line,I opened up res/values/ colors ( if I remember correctly) and just changed any thing not related to text to #00000000 or the * @ android color transparent switch..I can't recall the actual switch but that's the jist .

No I meant your transparency, if you knew what it was in ICS can you just add that reference into the jellybean

There has been a few changes to JB and some of the things don't reference the same stuff. Of course I wasn't the one to implement the transparency in Icarus.. this weekend was the first time I even tried to mess with smali.

....And although I have been able to change and compile 3 different smali files..I also have succeeded in crashing my systemUi...Guess I'll stick to making images and changing xml colors!
