HTC may be unveiling its next "big thing" Tuesday February 19. They have sent out invitations for an event in New York on that date.
Little is known other than the start time & day in addition to there being a simultaneous event being held in London.

Some speculate the unveiling of the rumored 'M7', HTC's latest flagship smartphone. There has been a buzz surrounding this phone, its features, and its odd naming convention. The M7 touts a few rich features including:
  • Cutting-edge audio and photography features. New lyrics app will entice people to use the phone for karaoke.
  • Ultrapixel sensors in place of a single 13.1-megapixel sensor. HTC will reportedly use three 4.3-megapixel sensor layers to create one crisp High-res image.
HTC has released a number of devices over the last few years that involve some type of camera innovation. Since acquiring a majority stake in Beats Audio, HTC has been pushing forward with better audio as well in smartphones. It is undeniable that HTC has taken a sizable hit in mobile sales and continue to ride in the wake of Samsung chart-topping sales. Many hope the new release will bring HTC to the front lines again.

And probably no Verizon one. Should be a great phone. What the DNA should have been. I love my DNA but it sucks to see great improvements just a few months later. HTC taking a note out of Moto's book with the Razr then Maxx fiasco.

Should be a fun week with this Tuesday and the PS4 announcement Wed

at first glance, i thought that was the countdown until they go out of business. i've pretty much lost hope in HTC because their phones always find a way to disappoint me. I hope this next release turns the company in a new direction, success wise.

I had to laugh.... Loved your comment. You aren't the only one to think that as their sales have been rather poor in comparison to Samsungs.
A lot of enthusiasts attribute it to poor marketing. They have made some decent phones, the 'One' series has some decent benchmarks and compares to some of the Galaxy phones.

I too hope they come out with something mighty. I like their phones. I still stand by an earlier comment of mine that the cameras on their phones blow away most other phones.
Granted, if it were just a camera you were looking for... I'd suggest going out and getting a Nikon SLR or related ;)
