I have an unlocked bootloader and didnt know that I shouldnt do an OTA update. First time it got stuck in a boot loop showing the WARNING BOOTLOADER IS UNLOCKED message. used AD Fastboot to flash back to stock 4.0.4 rom. That worked fine. Decided to try the OTA update again, see if it was just a bad update or something. This time, phone isnt even booting. Frozen at a black screen, rebooting is not fixing it. No amount of time of holding the power bottom or combination of the up and down volume is fixing it.

Am I SOL? Next step to go to Verizon or contact Motorola?

I would contact Motorola first, as Verizon tends to be babies about people with unlocked bootloaders. They wouldn't replace my two-day old Razr M with a faulty vibrate motor because I unlocked BL. I know there's a special cable you can buy that lets you charge battery while bricked, and a bad battery could be your issue. Maybe. I'm not an expert by any means but I am trying to help :p

Follow post 3. I had an issue trying to take the ota and fixed it good as new. You just need fastboot.

I'm having a similar problem! I unlocked the bootloader and now I am in a constant loop when the phone is plugged into a power source. If the phone is unplugged there is nothing going on with it, (no LED, No fast boot) nothing. Any ideas?

Just unlocking shouldn't put it into a bootloop.  Did you do anything else at the same time?

I would not mess around and just flash the fxz.

If it doesn't boot after flashing the FXZ, then you're going to need to FDR the thing.

Sadly this is where I am at a complete stump, I did not do anything else to the device besides unlock the bootloader, no flashing, nothing... My device isn't even recognized by RSD lite and i'm not able to obtain fastboot (pwr, vol+,vol -). I'm at a complete loss, Should i just send it off to get Jtag'd ?

When connected to your computer, go to device manager and see what your device is listed as.
