Currently running Liquid - had a bunch of issues with Bluetooth not responding (on/off) or connecting to my car (went through pairing just fine - then immediately lost it -- will try more tomorrow).

I may just be a settling issue though.  I am going to try and re set up Wifi now after the command in the OP.

The jbx rom wouldn't boot for me at all...i also tried flashing the overclock jbx kernel with the regular alpha build, worked for about 15 min then kept crashing...

Sent from my XT912 using Tapatalk 2

JBX kernel is known to not work with LiquidSmooth which this is based off of.

So far today I had no BT issues - like I said, could have been a settling issue last night.

I do notice that my reception is a bit weaker than stock (at work its hovering around -96dBm, 46 asu).  It still works, but it is less than I expected.  Haven't had long enough with it to notice battery life but it looks good so far.  Still have the battery issue of it report around 30% then suddenly dropping to 19-15% - I really wish I knew why this happens on all ROMs these days.

I'm liking Liquid so far overall though, especially having the customization back that was missing from Stock based roms.

This is consistent with pretty much everything not based on stock files as provided by each manufacturer; such as CM, AOKP, or any variations not listed. Another attribute of said environments is slower connectivity and sporadic service reliability.

Flashed: LiquidCoreV1.0 using Boot Menu Manager.

So far:

No issues with sound being completely disabled for absolutely no reason like I had with the 2.2.1 Liquid Smooth ROM

No BT or Wifi issues

Battery life doesn't seem any different

However:

Two black screen locks forcing me to reboot

Pandora automatically plays through speaker after bluetooth connection is lost, which shouldn't happen

Charger forgets its connected sometimes, not sure what causes this but it might be due to rebooting while connected to the cord. I woke up this morning around 4am to use the bathroom, saw the phone said "charged", woke up for work at 8:30am, phone said 94% and wasn't showing the charging battery animation. Unplugging and reattaching it resumed charge.

Pandora doesn't show album art in portrait mode, but does if you switch to landscape.

I do really like this ROM, mainly for the fact that I've stopped losing speaker audio for absolutely no damned reason like I kept having issues with from LS 2.2.1

Flashed: SwaggerCoreAlpha last night through Boot Menu Manager

No Setup Wizard? Phone went straight to homescreen which I like, but admittedly caused me to question how complete this ROM is.

Audio issues - no ringtone, notification, or alert playback until phone was rebooted. Lost it again after another reboot and test.

There's literally an app called UnicornPorn. What.

I'll give this ROM another shot in its Beta form to see whether those issues have been resolved.

Edit: I don't know what TripleCore_v2.5 is, but I'm downloading it because I didn't see it mentioned in the OP and that makes me feel like a ROM flashing rebel. Someone's living on the edge!

P.S. It's me. I'm living on the edge.

Okay - few things I've noticed - first Liquid Beta specific:
  • GPS does not work for me - Navigation there for fails as well. I'm not sure exactly why - my location is found and set correctly by the tower, and updates regularly as I move around. GPS just wont sync for some reason.
  • Wifi error still exists for me. I cannot connect and get an active connection. It pairs just fine, my password is input just fine, and even after doing the su / wifical.sh step it wont connect and become active.
  • App install / restores are failing suddenly. I have 1.7GB of free internal memory but get the "insufficient space available" error. I cleared Play store's cache, and tried restoring through TIBU but that fails as well. I've also uninstalled applications and still no luck. I'm debating doing a dalvik wipe.

____

Updated to v1.0 - will check to see what it up and if the same things are going on.

All issues above still exist for me.

Noticed that my phone isn't assigning an IP via DHCP on wifi (originally caught it in advanced settings - confirmed this with phone info). Not sure why.

Still getting the insufficient storage issue after uninstalling numerous applications. No clue why here either.

using Swaggercore beta last evening  watching netflix was about 20 minutes into a movie and the top of the phone became extremely hot, almost to the point of burning ones fingers?  Wondering if anyone else has has this problem? As with others i had trouble with gps not locking in or giving inaccurate locations by a mile or so? Was on the way to my daughters bball game and it had me everywhere but.. otherwise love the options and hope this is something that can be resolved? i downloaded some gps tools and tried setting the gps, compass but still had problem. But again love this one, snappy and lots of options  been flashing since the first og droid when it was easy and many choices, To bad the mfg have taken away a lot of the choices we once had.

Okay - So last night I deleted my slot and reloaded Liquid v 1.0 and its running great.  I haven't tested GPS yet again, but BT is working fine and Wifi connects now.  It even did a proper restore and setup this time (Note: If you have 2 step verification on, you may not get the notice that the text came through -- that's super frustrating!)

It's been running well overall - through JuiceDefender on to try it out and see what my BL will be.  Overall though, its running pretty smooth.  I am not using PieControls or the Nav buttons since I don't really see the point of disabling my physical buttons and taking up the real estate for the feature right now.

-- Edit:

Take that back; two issues today:

-- Had a reset into safe mode with no warning - I have no clue how it even got into safe mode.

-- Also, still having issues with WiFi;  It worked fine last night, now it just wont become active.  It is connecting and pulling an IP this time, unlike last time. So it is sort of working, but it stays grey no matter what application I try and open to use the network connection.

This rom is the bees tits.

Just flashed Swagger and noticing a few things. AOKP is awesome (first and foremost), and great job on your work! I have not tried wifi, but will update when I do.  The only bug I'm seeing (and I'm not sure if this is a bug or not) is when you open google calendar (and this happens with a few apps), the notification bar flashes white and then goes back to black -- I don't mind it at all but some might.

Super smooth.  Will let you know how battery life goes tomorrow.

EDIT: Bugs on bugs have arisen. I ended up having to do a full wipe of swagger.  I restarted my phone because a process (can't remember the name) kept stopping.  After restarting, the phone just goes into an endless boot screen with the AOKP unicorns.  I wiped, did another full install of all my apps and restarted just to make sure this wouldn't happen again.  Same thing.

Going to flash LC now.

EDIT 2: Flashed liquidcore... works great for a while and then "process.android.media" stops and everything goes to s#!7.  this is the same thing that happened with the aokp rom.  restarted my phone and it was able to start but then did not have a lockscreen and home button wouldn't work.  I flashed everything in the correct slots.

That's rather interesting.  I've had no process failures since my complete rom slot wipe.  How are you restoring apps?  Are you accidentally restoring system / data with them?

You can try to go to Manage Apps, and then bring up the Media Server app and clear its app cache....just a thought and cant hurt

Has anyone had any problems getting dark liquid to work? I toggle it and it doesn't work and then my settings will crash sometimes. I tried wiping cache and dalvik and permission fix and it still won't work.

When I toggle it crashes, I believe settings will crash because it needs to reload the Dark Liquid, it should come back in a few seconds.
