Well, it's finally here. The soak test for JB has begun! There are 2 groups of users who will receive the soak:

The first group that is getting the soak will have access to the private forum on Motorola's site and will also fill out a brief survey after the test has completed.

The second group will receive the soak and only fill out a survey at the end.

This thread from satman80 has all the info you need:

Developing....

Hello,

Thanks for signing up for the Droid RAZR / Droid RAZR Maxx Jellybean software test. The software should already be pushed to your phone, or it's on its way.

Apologies for sending this out so late -- surveymonkey was down for maintenance last night and that was unexpected.

As expected, the number of Motorola Feedback Network volunteers wildly exceeded our soak test capacity. But we don't want to leave anyone out, so we found a way to include everyone.

You are part of group that is getting the advanced software, and will be asked to fill out the evaluation survey. However, there won't be a private area for feedback.

Please look for the evaluation survey in email, most likely on Sunday.

If you have any problems upgrading to the Jelly Bean software, please click here for help. [REDACTED] You can also use this link if you have a problem that makes your phone unusable, and we will do our best to help. This is NOT the link for feedback -- again, that will come in a few days.

Here is a link to the release notes. Please read them carefully and note some items removed from Jelly Bean.

Thanks so much for your participation! We really appreciate your time and insights.

Ok, now REMEMBER a few things.

First, there are 2 different OTA's here. It is dependent on whether you received/flashed the Christmas update. If you DID receive/flash the Christmas
update then you are going to need

.

But, if you are still on Ice Cream Sandwich (6.16.211, not .214/.215) then you will need to flash

Always remember, Motorola labels their OTA updates based on the system version you are updating FROM not going TO.

Keep in mind, you need to unrooted (or root protected) and COMPLETELY stock. You can use

to prepare your device for these updates should you not know how to restore your device to 100% stock.

Just in case you do LOSE root access

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

first before trying to re-root the soak, you may have issues.

MD5 Sums:
(98.72.16) 6.16.211 ICS OTA- 0ecd6f6f907dd708ccd746910ce3e3ad
(98.72.16) 98.72.8 JB-OTA - 47080af59b63cf2293cdc9562f3e3b8d

Anyway, put on SD Card, reboot into recovery and flash away. :D

Also noticed this is STILL the 3.0.8 kernel. Interadasting. This may be the same deal as the Christmas leak. So if anyone chooses not to jump the gun, once we put together a boot.img from this OTA, you would in theory (if you wanted to) still be able to dual boot.

Oh the gun is being jumped! I trust a soak test release much more than a true leak.

I just got my update. Yea! I was wondering though, how do you access Google Now other than clicking on the Google search app? I tried swiping up, like my Nexus &, and it doesn't open that way. I'm using the Nova laucher.

Tucs since the kernel is the same will the current ROMs such as Aviator still work? I'm afraid to try a restore.

Looking inside the zip that takes you from the JB leak most of the system apps and framework + kernel get patched. This is a different update than Christmas eve leak.

Try it. I think Moto patched SmartActions though, so maybe not.

Yep...the Razr Blade root method STILL works. I forgot to protect root before updating (long story, had to use unbrick utility, etc). Just rooted and seems to be fine.
