It can be the version of SuperSU you're using, if you are in fact using one...

I don't know the exact steps you take... When I do a clean install I erase dalvik cache , cache , and data 3 times then flash the ROM let it reboot and then flash supersu... I have learned that you have to be patient when flashing your phone. It doesn't always work the first time so you may have to reboot once or twice or sometimes you just have to wait a few minutes before it comes back on. There should not be any reason for you to remove your sim...

Thanks to everyone involved for bringing this over to the Razr M!

Unfortunately it's not working for me, and would appreciate help/being pointed int he right direction.

Steps I followed:

  1. Flashed FXZ from here:

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

     - used FULL.xml
  2. Flashed TWRP 2.8.1.0 from here:

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

  3. Made backup and wiped everything except microSD using Advanced Wipe in TWRP
  4. Flashed dhacker29's version CM12 version from 11-22-2014, along with GApps and SuperSU v2.27 Beta linked to in the OP
  5. Boots up and Setup wizard starts
  6. Change language to English UK and hit next
  7. Setup wizard gets stuck by the WiFi step and then phone goes into bootloop (CM boot animation gets stuck and phone reboots)
  8. Wiped and tried flashing and nprevette420's versions of CM12, and dhacker29's 11-23-2014 version as well
  9. Tried skipping all steps of the setup wizard but it gets stuck on the last step and goes into bootloop

  10. Tried wiping Dalvik after flash - does some "optimizing" thing but then same issue

  11. Gave up and tried to move to CM-11-M12, but the setup wizard dies at the Setup Google Account step always and the phone reboots.

  12. Restore stock backup from TWRP and feel  :(

What could be the issue?

I'm no professional but if you made a backup and in fact can restore. Restore. When you do any wiping before flashing you should only wipe dalvik cache , cache , and data.. Do not wipe "system" because it has files needed to run your phone , which in turn may be what is causing it to get stuck at a certain point..

To do a clean install you need to wipe system too. All of those files will be replaced by the rom zip file.
I'm not sure why your phone is getting stuck at the setup, try a clean flash (wipe data, cache, dalvik and system) then install latest build abs gapps. When it boots up, reboot it. Then do your setup. After that is done reboot to recovery and flash supersu

The last time I ever wiped system , unless I did something wrong , it wiped everything even my back ups so I was bricked.. So then I had to connect to my PC and use fastboot mode.

Yes, nightlies are still a full ROM. With that being said, personally I dirty flash for nightlies and only fully wipe for major changes.

That's because you had your backups stored on your internal SD. Store them on your external and won't have that I issue.

Ok that's where I'm confused.. On my phone it won't allow me to store anything on my external.. Is that option different in twrp?

Yes, TWiRP will allow you to back up to your external.

Guess my question is ,if it not too much , can you help explain how to move my backup to my external...As of right now when I go into recovery all my files are on sdcard not external SD my back up , the new nightly , supersu , and gapps. So if I format then clean wipe including system. If just to flash a new rom .Won't it brick my phone?

First off, set up your recovery to save your backups to your external. There's a setting in TWiRP to let you do that. As for moving the files, you'll need to move them in a file explorer that has root access. I use Root Explorer. In Root Explorer, when you long pick a file, it gives you an option to move the file. After selecting the file, navigate to your external and drop the file there.
