Not worth it since it won't be rootable anyway.IF.... IF I didn't have my Razr Maxx... I might would consider this. As it stands it would not be worthy of a FULL RETAIL PRICE I would pay to keep my unlimited data.
Sorry Moto.. think I will pass on this one.

In fact they also denied any larger battery version of the RAZR and in the CES 2012 announced the MAXX anyhow. Based on the battery specs revealed, i would bet a Maxx HD will come out. I think they crippled this phone a bit just to make the MAXX sell even more. This phone simply keeps pace with the current crop and is not the end all from MOTO's razr stable. Anyone who would believe that must not have seen what they've done withe RAZR over the last year.

i think Moto has been shown to milk the bejesus out of a winning product. Just as early RAZR owners got smacked with the reality of a RAZR MAXX and an unlocked bootloader (developer) edition, the RAZR HD is not the final product.
Expect to see a RAZR HD maxx a few months afterwards, this time with 12+ camera , 2GB RAM, Big battery and more.
The HTC one X actually trumps it in specs with an identical CPU but with a bigger screen and NFC.
Makes me wait for the iphone 5
Iphone 5? Apple has been far behind the curve technology wise all along. Do you think the next iphone will have an unlockable bootloader? laughs...they need to open up the source code first. Maybe, just maybe..the new iphone will have LTE. Maybe it'll finally have a 4 inch screen? Maybe it'll have expandable memory? You see where I'm going with this?
the iphone is the LAST phone I'd consider (being a smart phone enthusiast). It's perfect for my GF though.
As far as the Razr M...maybe it'll be made for Prepaid service? Cause it's spec'd out that way. Otherwise, why not just grab a current Razr? Or Maxx for that matter.
I am STILL waiting for Moto to release their next flagship device to see what it's gonna be all about.
These devices though ain't it.

If you can "confirm" that the HD has an unlockable/lockable bootloader, why would it not be rootable? That doesn't make much sense. You can't stop hackers and devs. There's always a way.

Lol. We were both wrong. Welcome Razr Maxx HD. I thought they wouldn't announce it for awhile.
