I already knew that because as important as I am, they would have consulted with me first.

XDA doesn't seem to realize that noobs can become great assets to the team once they are trained or learn for themselves. Before getting the Razr on 11/10/11 I've never touched an android device.

My upgrade failed when it was patching/updating "BP". Everything appears to be updated except for the Baseband which still reads CDMA_N_04.06.00R instead of the CDMA_N_04.07.00R in the screen shot.

I was fresh off of a Fastboot restore--> DoomOneclickRoot--> OTA to .748--> Restore Root--> Update from SD card .143--> Restore Root--> Update from SD card .174--> BP fail

For the last time. Where in my instructions does it say temp unroot? It's not necessary.

Didn't say it did say it anywhere but as you may have noticed from my first post where it SHOULD HAVE worked it didn't. So can you fault a guy for trying something different as long as it doesn't hurt the process?

Regardless it worked so who cares.I mean I did pay for my phone

I came off a little more harsh than I intended. It's just an assumed necessary step someone had posted long ago that isn't necessary. Temp unrooting is useful for watching movies from google etc though if you need the feature for renting movies and such things like that.

I responded a bit harsh too. Its all good and certainly noted. First time was probably just Murphy's law in affect.

since the 173 update has been pushing out. You think the next update will be 174 or they'll skip to Ice cream

174 includes a bug fix for 173, so I'd expect it to be out ASAP after 173.

Does this leak fix the handshake from 4g to 3g? I know it said that in the change log, but was curious because that's my only gripe with this phone. Aside from that its awesome. And is it worth it to install it? I know everyone has their version of worth it.. but is the lte fixed and everything else work, I guess you can say. Thanks all

Fixed is a strong word as there will always be connectivity issues with data as it's very difficult to maintain a connection in all situations. That said, it is definitely worlds better on 173/174 than it was on 748.

This update brought my data to a halt. Webpages would not load, apps requiring data would not function. Keeping the phone stock until ICS is rolled out OTA, so had to reflash, then update to 6.11.173. Also, I may be wrong, but I've read that this update takes you off of the OTA upgrade path.

Please forgive my ignorance, but I did notice the force close bug in 173. I've never pressed the search button in my app drawer previously. After flashing 174, there is no longer a force close. Which is cool, but when I push the search button in the app drawer, nothing happens. My question is, what did it do before?

Where did you read this? Only trust information you read on this website... Other sites kang our news and get it wrong a lot of times.

If you cannot RSD Lite or use my utility to fastboot back to stock then it would.
I can confirm 174 will NOT become an official upgrade.
