I would like to know what the ABSOLUTE MOST COOLEST thing you have done on/with your VZW Droid Razr?

I am talking, bout making people STOP dead in their tracks, making jaws DROP open in SHOCK, wonder, and amazement!!!

Think about it, a few years back, when somebody used their Blackberry as a bluetooth modem, that ish was heart stopping!!

Or, or when I was able to upload FULL music videos, simpsons epidsodes on the original Moto Razr, that got tongues wagging...

But uh technology has advanced and all that ish above, now comes STOCK on all phones and we take it for granted..

So I want to know what the HOTTEST thing to do now is, what gets people amazed now?

Going to be a matter of opinion for sure. I thought it was pretty cool when overclocking came out, center clock, Samsung being ported to the razr (jelly wiz) being able to change font styles and overall colors. Thanks to all the awesome developers!

I'm ALWAYS amazed when someone responds like this clown above..

I mean seriously, does he NOT realize he is on FORUM for a cell phone(s)??
furthermore, a FORUM being a place to engage in conversation.. hELLLO!!!!

Does he NOT know what that means or symbolizes?

The fact that your browsing a forum for mobile devices is ENOUGH, BUT up that by actually registering for this forum? It says something about you... Don't you all agree? The average consumer(read: non rooters, or peeps that don't even know there are diff versions of android) don't care about rooting, or this Rom, v/s that rom..They just want a phone that makes/receives calls, and allows them to txt/mms and browse the net.. play music too I guess. but thats it.. WE ARE NOT LIKE THEM...

I mean basically we're CELL PHONE DORKs... compared to them, and being on this forum PROVES it..

this guy below, proves it 110%, I rest my case.

NERD!!

I work in IT, specifically, database development. I was on vacation earlier last month visiting the in-laws in NY. Had an emergency come through with one of the DBs I was bulding, from my phone I was able to pipe in to the VPN, then Remote into my laptop at home (in NC) and deploy 5 SSIS payloads from my phone, reports, notifications, everything. My boss was blown away that I was able to pipe in from my phone and fix a problem in less than 15 minutes simply by using my phone. I frequently run queries from my phone that generate reports and email them to me so i can check update progress, etc.

Android rules all. :)

haha, I kid, I kid.. but seriously i want your job.. it sounds FREAKING AWESOME!!

Tell me more.. or more so, how can I learn or understand what the hizzy your talking about?

I know a bit about IT.. so I'm assuming your using some kind of SSH client to "pipe" in?

details? I want to learn to do stuff like that..

obviously don't want/need job specifics as I don't want to compromise you or your job.. but this is the stuff I hunger to learn about..

The VPN acts as a SSH client allowing me to access our entire network securely. SSIS stands for "SQL Server Integration Services" and is developed within Visual Studio. Basically I was able to run DB maintenance from my phone, including rebuilding indexes and notifying the client that the problem had been corrected.

Drop it face first off the top of a ladder and have it still work. When just 2 days prior an iPhone 5 was knocked off a table, landed face first on the floor, and never worked again.

My Razr Maxx just had a chip on the glass that didnt even show that much.

Dude, where were you when the sites SQL database is pissing me off cause I can never remember how to run all those damn queries!? We have a really nice front end panel to work in forum management, but something's are just easier through the database.

Do you have a router at home? If so, did you open the necessary ports in the router?

2 words: Team Viewer. Install in your PC or Mac and install on your phone/tablet and you can remote into your home computer whenever you want. Easy to set up too.

I use an app called BT controller...free from the market. Has to be installed on both devices to work. Sync the phone to the tablet via Bluetooth and set the tablet up as the host and phone as controller. They have pretty good instructions with the app as well.

comard, FORGIVENESS please, but I am not asking HOW to do it.. I am asking what the process is called that my place of employment utilizes to block it? i.e. how they are blocking the connection?

Robocop is close...

Do you have a router at home? If so, did you open the necessary ports in the router?

yes, the ports are open..

My place of employement has it blocked.. I want to know what the process or technology behind this is called?

hopefully that makes sense and I have not confused yall further..
