Does Verizon do soak test on signal? I'm in an area that has 3g and I turned off my wifi and magically had 4g. I thought my phone was messing up. But speed test it and much faster than a d3 sitting right next to me. And I looked at a charge and it wasn't showing 4g.
Any ideas?

I am not sure....But I got 4g service a full month before it was supposed to be " turned " on. But as far as the other phone not having it that's weird. Maybe reboot the charge and see if it comes up. Or use the app restart connections.

I'm getting 4g icon as well, running eclipse 1.2, with the latest epic blue theme. I'm in an area with no 4g service, and even get the 4g icon with lte disabled. I tried speedtest four or five times and get horrible results every time. Less than 1 mbs. Usually around .2-.4 I noticed this morning my phone was running warm, so I reset it and after that was when I first noticed the 4g icon. I don't know if cycling power, or if the phone running warm had anything ti do wuth it however

I havent yet, I may flash back to stock in an hour or so, dont want to mess up at work lol. Ive been reading about issues with Verizon's network today, but I'm curious as to what if any effect that has as well.

Looks like were not the only ones!
Folks until VZW networks is back to normal I'm not worrying about the 4G icon all you folks are seeing. I have an idea what it is but can NOt confirm until the networks is back working right. Bottom line is there is nothing wrong with your device or the ROM atm.
So for all you folks who know for CERTAIN you are in a 3G area and the LTE icon is displaying just know you are on 3G until this can be looked into. Problem is there is no way to check it or test until the Network is back functioning like it is suppose to be
