Not necessarily. I've noticed it takes a few days and a couple of charges for a ROM to settle in after flashing. I've seen this on my M and on my tablet. On my tablet, it's even recommend to calibrate the battery after flashing new ROMs. Give it a few days, and see how it goes. Freeze/delete apps you don't need, keep your wi-fi turned off if you're not using it, use the "powersave" or "interactive" CPU governors that are included with the ROM, use a dark wallpaper, and use the dark options for any forum that you might use on the phone.
