It was built for the Thunderbolt but I have heard it works on other phone. Give it a go and let us know.

I have tried this app before. It works. I just don't want to have to manually go into settings and switch it myself. I just wish there was a more simple way to changing back and forth between 4G and 3G. Or maybe I'm not using the app correctly. But thank you.You can try this one:

Unfortunately this is a restriction of android in general. You can't directly change the network mode with a widget or app. The only way to do it is to make an app that makes a shortcut into settings or flash a ROM that has the toggle functionality.

Is there an app where I can just toggle on and off from 3G/4G just at the tap of a button?

I installed Nexesque rom resigned with java app. More information at this link:

I use toogle 2g to switch manually in 3g/2g mode trough notification bar.
The toogle works very good. Also I don't love this android restriction.
