When I try to select a background on Handcent, it doesn't give me the option to crop it and it comes out distorted. Any ideas on how to fix? I've never had any problems with Handcent until I got the razr..

Another ?

When using apps like ringdroid and datpiff... The app is only displayed on half of the screen. Any ideas?

Sorry if these are dumb questions =]

A dumb question is one that's never asked:)

Is ur phone stock....or did u put a custom rom?. Also what version?

I checked it out on my phone....and I can still make themes..

Sorry but I never used those other 2 apps. But I can check it out

it's stock.. Themes work fine, I just can't pick a picture for the background. I don't really like the themes they have. I miss my colorful backgrounds =[

I just did the OTA for 744 or whatever it is. My phone's dead right now so I'm not exactly sure.

I downloaded datpiff and ringdroid(ringdroid is pretty cool) and I have tje same problem. They seem to work just fine. But they don't fit the screen.

I emailed the app dev. And you shoud do the same. Its prolly just not formatted correctly for razr

I cant say much for Handcent, we never got along.
Ringdroid is working fine for me. If you're rooted, or end up rooting, you can try downloading Spare Parts and unchecking Compatibility Mode. Usually that helps with apps that aren't resizing and fitting correctly. You almost always have to do it if you change screen density.

I was thinking the same thing..about spareparts
On handcent, can you provide the steps you take and see if anyone can reproduce the same problem?

You're a genius! That fixed both apps. Now if hand cent would work I'd be great. It does that on all replacement SMS apps I use :(

I've been called a lot of things, but never a genius! Lol!

I don't know that this will actually work, but... try managing applications from your settings menu. Scroll to handcent and select it. Force Stop, Clear Caches, and Clear Data (if you clear data you will have to set the app back up, but your messages will still be there.)
I just downloaded handcent and tried it. It's working fine for me..

When I was using 3rd party SMS apps I always used Go. But I haven't felt the need for one since getting my Razr.
