Anyone else had failed Jelly Bean update? Unable to find any info regarding prerequisites or issues had by others.

Thanks

I just got the update with no problems. It took about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Is 98.72.16 the latest? I tried running the update through the OTA updater, and nothing. Says my device is already up to date.

As fro safestrap, no you do not need it.

As for frozen apps, Titanium backup will show them all easily within a single listing - but you'd have to re-root first, of course.

Moved to RAZR General. Others may be able to cooperate on this.

I am also having the same issue. I did a full unroot and defrost all the apps and still no go. I do not have safe strap and no go.

Are you still on ICS? You can use Matt's 1.82 Utility to restore to stock then you should be able to take the OTA.

I was hoping to avoid that but that seems to be the only way. I'll have to do it later tonight.
And yup. ICS.211.

Yeah sorry man. Sometimes things just go wonky and the best way is to just start fresh

Yup been there, done that. Funny thing is, I just fastboot back to .211 a week or two ago to clear up some issues I was having and I have to do it again. I'm glad razr blade JB Root works with the OTA. I'll be doing that.

Same here...was on stock 4.0.4, rooted, safestrap 3.05, frozen junk apps with titanium backup.I used Matt's utility 1.8 to back to out of box stock, JB update worked after that.

Hotel connection is too slow for me to download the file since it will take a little over an hour to download it. I'll wait until this weekend when I get home to do it.

I had issues too. Installation failed ...Error 7....Tried unrooting, factory reset, unfreezing apps.....I ended up having to use Matt's Utility 1.82 going back to 100% stock and then doing the OTA. It is currently installing and haven't had any errors yet!!
