98.72.16 question

I noticed when running flying jelly rom that it asked if i wanted to update to 98.72.16 when i did it would bootloop with the droid guy on his back, I'm running a razr maxx cdma with 98.72.8 any thoughts or advice would be appreciated thanks

To update to the 98.72.16 OTA, you have to go back to stock 98.72.8

You have to do it from your stock ROM as opposed to using a ROM slot ..... boot into safestrap.... activate stock slot....wipe cache and dalvik cache.... reboot.... then try the OTA again....:)

i read up on installing the 98.72.16 update and its downloading as i speak after its done can i leav it on the internal storage or is it best to put on external sd and then apply

Insert "uninstall safestrap" after the last reboot above. Even then it may fail and you'll need to use one of Matt's utilities.

i updated to 98.72.16 and have root but when i use ss3.11 i cant flash custom roms it will boot and go to safestrap screen saying wait for 10 sec but then flashes green and i used dl root checker and voodoo ota and all is good i just need to know how to get back to flashing my roms, again any help would be appreciated

When I updated, I tried everything I could to not fastboot back to stock (I know I didn't mess with the stock side), but in the end I ended up doing it, it seems that is always the failsafe way...:)

You can't use the 98.72.8 roms on 98.72.16. You'll need to look at this

Thank you for the advice and i used the rom compatibilty flasher tool it worked and its kind of like the dual boot utility
