If you think he doesn't, then try looking (again) at Chrome and Apps....
The real question is how will he handle both Chrome OS and Android simultaneously. Personally Id prefer if Android OS were the base and Chrome was the secondary. Seeing as free mass WiFi broadband hasnt taken off in the states, Android is the best bet for dispersal and Chrome is best for the folks who dont do much other than internet surfing. Lets be honest with ourselves, Chrome OS has gone nowhere fast in the states. Why buy a chromebook when you can buy a 3 year old laptop that does all the chromebook does and more... Perhaps Im not seeing this in the same light as others, but as far as Ive seen, Chromebooks havent sold for crap, and no one wants them outside of 1st world countries and people who dont use computers much.
If you do anything that requires horsepower or developing, a full OS is needed. Chrome just does not serve that purpose. No matter how you slice it, Android should always be number one, especially considering the market share android has in the smartphone market versus the less than 1% chrome OS has in the PC market. Lets face it, Chrome OS may grow, but it will never be what a full OS offers. Its a niche PC market.
Hopefully Google will realize this and come out with a full Chrome Linux instead of the abomination they call Chrome OS. Thats just my opinion. Feel free to disagree with my opinion, but an already niche market does not bode well when targeting an even more niche market...
